| I want to play .OGM files Ogg Media Stream / Vorbis DirectShow Filter ------------------------------------------- If you have a Windows machine, install this: http://tobias.everwicked.com/oggds.htm If you have a Linux box, use this: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/ (libogg and libvorbis are also required, which can be obtained here: http://www.vorbis.com/download_unix.psp) NOTE: Ogg support is currently only for Windows-installed PCs and the Linux OS. You can associate the .ogm extension to your favorite Video player or rename to .avi, but in either case, the Ogg DSF for the PC or the libraries for Linux _must_ be installed. I want to convert .OGM files to .AVI/VCD/SVCD (for Windows only - thanks Krakn) (the Ogg Media Stream and Vorbis filters must be already installed. In other words: in order to convert the files, first make sure you can play them) 1) Download AVI2VCD and unpack it. You will only need decompress.exe (comes with the package) 2) Rename your VIDEO.OGM file to VIDEO.AVI 3) Open your VIDEO.AVI file using decompress 4) Click the decompress button. A VIDEO-PCM.AVI file will be created. That's a avi file with uncompressed sound (PCM). 5) From now on it's your choice what you're going to do with the VIDEO-PCM.AVI file. You can use TMPGenc to convert the file to VCD or SVCD. You can also use Virtualdub to recompress to any other format, or frameserv it. |
